BABY TEA ~ SEPTEMBER 21ST

We had our first Baby Shower this past Sunday September 21st. It was held in our Hometown of Marion at the West Perry Community Club. It was given by Chris's Great Aunt Cat, Aunt Sue, Sister Elizabeth, Cousin Celia, and Cousin Cicily. Everything was so very nice. The Cake was perfect! It matched our nursery theme and was reeeaaaallllyy good, too.
Since it was a Baby Tea and it was just a come and go thing, I got the privilege of getting there a little early and opening some of our gifts and getting them displayed.
We got lots of Goodies. Our Boys are so lucky to have so many people that love them.

Chris's Mother gave us our Double Stroller. I know the Boys are going to enjoy the many rides in this "bus" throughout the years.
And then Chris's Grandparents, Berta and Charles, gave us our carseats. I can't wait to put these two little guys in these seats so they can cruise around with their mommy and daddy, and of course big brother.

We also got our swings. They were given to us by Chris's Aunt Cat and her daughter Renee. These swings are so cool. The are 3 in 1 swings. You can use them as a swing, then you can take the chair part off and have a stationary seat, or you can make it into a toddler rocker. I really hope the boys enjoy, but their mommy absolutely loves them.

Then of course we got lots of goodies. Chris's Granny gave us the tooth fairy pillows and the day gowns with the giraffes. I tell you what, these boys are going to be the best dressed guys you've ever seen.

My mom, Grandmother, and Aunt gave us our Bedding. And yes, I've already got it on the bed. I'll have to take a pic later on so you can see how cute their room is now. Their room is a little messy just now for pictures.

My sister's family gave each boy their own selection of monogrammed burp clothes, along with a couple of outfits.

You can see Quinn's goodies in this pic.

And here are Kaden's goodies. Oh and their Big Cousin Victoria wrote their card all by herself!

Then the best gift ever. Quinn and Kaden's big brother sent them a gift. In this pic, you will see two bibs in the back that say "I Love My Big Brother" and some travel toys. That was the best present of the day! These boys are so lucky to have such an awesome Big Brother who already loves them so much.

Then it was family pic time. Here I'm with the two luckiest Grandmother's of all. My mom is on the left (Loretta), then of course the mommy to be, and Chris's mom (Cynthia) on the right.

Then, in this pics we added my Big Sis, Kelley. Quinn is named after her. My sister's full name is Virginia O'Kelley.

Thank you to everyone who made this shower so awesome! We Love you all!

24 WEEK CHECK UP

Today I had another doctor's appointment. I will be 24 weeks this coming Sunday. I met with Dr. Brown, another doctor in with my Doctor. Everything checked okay today, YAY!!! Dr. Brown did the doppler and listened to both heartbeats and both boys sounded just fine. She measured my belly and it measured.........................................30 WEEKS!!! WOW!!! I couldn't believe that, but she said that was great. And the best news of all, I've only gained 17 pounds so far. I go back in two weeks, which will be October 1st, for an U/S and my sugar test. So let's all keep our fingers crossed that I pass my sugar test.

I should have more fun posts next week. I have my first Baby Shower this weekend and I can't wait!!!! Chris is going on his last Deep Sea Fishing Trip for the year this weekend, so hopefully he has a good trip and catches lots of fish.

AND THE KICKING BEGINS.....

Yesterday Chris and I had our Multiples Birthing Class at the Brookwood Hospital Wellness Center. Our day began at 9am and didn't end until 4pm. It was a lonnnngggggg day, especially for a pregnant woman. We learned a lot of helpful tips when it comes to caring for twins and then caring for them after we come home from the hospital. The class touched on Nutrition, Breastfeeding, Sleeping Routines, What to expect when you come home from the hopistal, C-Section versuses Vaginal Delivery, Preterm Labor, and many more topics. But the most exciting thing that happened during our class was, we finally felt the babies or maybe just a baby kick. I've been feeling it for a while, but I hadn't been able to feel it with my hand on the outside. Well right in the middle of one of our lectures and I realized that what I was feeling wasn't just gas, so I grabbed Chris's hand and laid it on my belly so he could feel it too. This little one kicked about 15 times. I guess he was tired of sitting too!! HA! That was such a special moment to share even if it was during our class, but I will never forget that moment. Maybe soon I will be able to tell which baby is which.
