WE'VE GOT TEETH....
So I know I'm a little late in starting the whole brushing the teeth chore, but better late than never, huh? The other day I bought the boys there first toothbrushes and I finally pinned them down long enough to get those little gums and teeth brushed. They did wonderful!!! Since they are teething likey CRAZY they really enjoyed it. After we were done I let them play with their brushes and they LOVED them. They could have set there for quite a while playing with them, but I kept picturing them falling over and the brush going down their throat, so I took them away and of course they cried. AND YES, we are at that stage when Mommy takes something away from us we cry, but not for long. Then we find something else we can play with. These are such fun times and I'm loving every minute of watching my boys grow up.

NO MORE SWINGING....
The boys have officially out grown their swinging days. My mom called the other day to tell me that I was going to have to stop using the swings, at least the swing part. Since the boys are liking the fact that they can sit, they are starting to sit up too far (especially Kaden) and we don't want an accident to happen before it's too late. I can still use the chair part as little rocking chairs for the boys. So the other night I took a picture of the boys in their swings for the last time. The really have changed since the first time they ever swang.
Kaden at 7 months old in his swing for the last time.
Quinn was just chillin and loved having his picture taken.
I teared up writing this blog. My baby boys are getting so big and I'm enjoying every minute of being their mommy and watching them grow up!
A POT BATH....
Father's Day weekend while we were at my mom's, the boys needed a bath. I didn't feel like packing my bath tub and the sink is just too slippery to bath them in, so I got a boiler and put them in it for a quick bath. It was quite entertaining. Their expressions were so funny!! They were like, "What is mom doing to us?" But after it was over with they were in such a good mood since they were so fresh and clean.

JUICE AND SIPPY CUPS
Now that the boys are 6 months, they can start getting juice during the day. In the past I've had to give them juice (just small amounts) to help them with potty issues, but now they can get more throughout the day. I didn't want to buy more bottles for juice, so I thought....what about sippy cups? Are they big enough? Can they hold them? Will they be able to get the juice out? I still think of them as my little babies. Even though they are still babies, they aren't that little any more (defnitely not little 4 pounders).
I was in publix the other night picking up a few things and while in the baby section I found some Baby Einstein sippy cups and they were for ages 6 months and up. I debated for a few minutes if I was ready to buy them sippy cups and before I was through argueing with myself, they were in the buggy. So the next day, I gave it a try and gave the boys some applejuice in their BRAND NEW SIPPY CUPS. They drank that juice and held those cups like they were pros. It's sad that they are growing up, but at the same time so fun to see them excel in something so small. If it was hard for me to buy them sippy cups, can you imagine what it's going to be like when I have to buy their first pair of walking shoes or first set of school supplies?????
Quinn has the blue cup and Kaden has the green cup!

AN EAR INFECTION AND A HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
So yesterday, mine and Chris's anniversary started out with Kaden running a fever and a very yucky nose. For two nights in a row he had been really restless so I knew something was brewing. I stayed home from work and took him to Dr. Sester at 11 and sure enough he had an ear infection. We were only 7 days short of being 7 months old and dang if we didn't get our 1st ear infection and 1st sick child. Well I got Kaden's medicine and got home and got him all fixed up. Chris got home around 3 and we headed to Hoover for his dentist appointment. Yup, a filling on our Anniversary. Even though it was a special day life's daily tasks must go on. After his appointment we went straight to dinner at Heads N Tails in Patton Creek. You can definitely tell we are parents now because we went to dinner at 5:30 and were home by 8:30. But the good thing was that we were there for HAPPY HOUR!!!! We don't get to enjoy that many happy hours these days. :-) After a few drinks and a delicious dinner and an awesome piece of Chocolate Peanut Butter pie, we exchanged gifts.
Chris and I are sorta dorks when it comes to our anniversary. We always give each other whatever the traditional gift is for that particular anniversary. For our one year anniversary (which was paper), I gave Chris a book about Spearfishing and he gave me a book about trying to conceive. So now you all know the thought of having a baby was with us for a while before Quinn and Kaden actually got here. On our second anniversary Chris was out of town working so he sent me an Edibles Bouquet and it was DELICIOUS! I absolutely LOVE fruit! The second wedding anniversary was suppose to be cotton, but since he was away I let him slide plus I had just been shopping for some maternity clothes. ;-) I stuck with the cotton gift and gave him a chef hat that said "Master Chef Chris" since he loves to cook and make his meals look so pretty. On this anniversary Chris made me a sweet card that was addressed "To My Love" and had the sweetest note in it (it made me cry). And then for my leather gift, he gave me a leather braided bracelet that had a heart charm with "Happy Anniversary" engraved on it. I LOVE IT and it goes with my heart necklace that he gave me two Valentine's ago. His gift from me was a watch that had leather within the band. It is really Cool and Handsome!
Our Gifts!
And now we begin year number 4.............;-)

THE HAMM MEN BIRTHDAYS
On May 26th, Chris turned 29. He's only got one more year until the BIG 30! On his birthday we went to Marion and ate supper at his Grandparents with his mom and Brady. Since Chris isn't a big sweet eater, I picked up some delicious cupcakes from Edgars Bakery in Birmingham. They were chocolate cake with white icing and each one had a sea creature on them. I thought they fit his personlity just perfect!!!!
Weren't these cupcakes just precious...and they were sooooooo tasty too!!
On June 12th, Brady turned 7 years old. It's so hard to believe that he is that big. Chris and I gave him a basketball goal and his brothers gave him a basketball. We celebrate his birthday on June 6th with a birthday party at West Perry Community Club. Pictures from the party to come later. Brady's grandmommy has all of them on her camera.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!!!

A FIRST FOR KADEN...
This past weekend Chris and I went away on a short beach trip. We haven't done anything together since I was admitted to the hospital before the boys were born, so we thought it was time to get away for a few days. It was sad leaving them for the first time overnight, but I knew they were in good hands (I didn't cry, but I did tear up). Chris's mom AKA Grandmommy kept them. So Saturday after we got through fishing I called to check in on them and Grandmommy asked me if I knew that Kaden had two teeth. I had no idea!!!! I guess they broke through the skin overnight. So last night when we got home I checked it out for myself and there they were, two little sharp teeth barely poking through the gums. No wonder he has been chewing away on his pacifier!!! No teeth for Quinn, but he is only days away from crawling. Let the craziness begin!!!

6 MONTH CHECKUP
I took the boys for their six month checkup last Friday. Everything went GREAT!!! Quinn weighed 14 pounds and 1 ounce and Kaden weighed 13 pounds and 15 1/2 ounces. They were both 26 1/2 inches long and both their head measurements were 16 1/2. So they are both in the 50th percentile for their length and the 5th percentile for their weight and head. I guess I'm going to have tall skinny boys!!! They both got four shots and then the Roto Virus Vaccination. Both of them did so well and only cried for just a little while. Big Brother Brady was with us and he said it almost made him cry. He did so good helping me out with the boys. The nurse gave him three Hulk stickers for being such a big brother. The doc also changed the boys formula, so we are now on Enfamil A.R. and it is working wonders for their spit up. So no more rice cereal in their bottles. The doc also said that the boys can start eating the mixed fruit baby foods and the meats now. We haven't tried any yet, but I know they are going to love it. They already love their fruits. After the doctor's appointment we went to Dairy Queen for lunch and then had some good ole ice cream. YUMMY!!! Then we had to make a few stops to get some baby things and then it was home to pack and load the car for a weekend in Marion. Brady had a baseball game Friday night which unfortunately they lost, but then we had his Birthday party on Saturday. It was so much fun and all the kids had a great time. Well that's all for now. Hopefully I can get some new pics downloaded soon. We've had so much going on that we need to share.

BIG BROTHER BRADY IS PLAYING BASEBALL
This year Brady decided he wanted to play baseball for the City League in Marion. He is on the Braves team. Opening day was Saturday May 2nd. His team did okay, considering it was there first time to play a real game against a real team. Unfortunately they lost 2 to 1, but since then they have won one and tied one. Brady is really enjoying playing ball.
Brady AKA Little Chris playing 1st Base
YAY!!! He his the ball and made it to 2nd Base!
AND he scored a point for his team!!! WAY TO GO BRADY!!! His team will be playing every Tuesday nights at 5:30 and Friday nights at 6:30 for any of you that would like to go watch.

A PAGEANT AND A PARTY
Last night me and the twins went to see Cousin Victoria in her Beauty Walk. Uncle Chris and Brady stayed at Aunt Kelley's house and kept Daniel. They enjoyed an afternoon of Four Wheeler and Go Cart Riding and Playing on the Swing Set. Unfortunately, I couldn't be at two places at once so there are only pics from the Pageant.
Little Miss Victoria during her Walk. She was SO PRETTY!!!
YAY!!!! She got 2ND ALTERNATE!!!!
Miss Victoria with all her flowers. She got flowers from Mommy, Daddy, and Daniel, Retta and MeMommy and Gran and Grandaddy. We gave her a Hannah Montana light up bracelet and a Hannah Montana beach ball and float.
The Twins with their FAVORITE OLDER COUSIN
After the Pageant we all went back to Kelley's for Pizza and to celebrate MeMommy's Birthday!
Daniel LOVED singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to MeMommy AKA Meme or Meanie as Daniel sometimes says because he can't always say MeMommy. It is so SWEET and FUNNY!!!!

THE TWINS MEET JP AND RASHAD!
This past Sunday, we met the Barton Family and Aunt Ann Bradford at the Jennifer Harwell art gallery where they were featuring Steve Ripper's art of John Parker Wilson and Rashad Johnson. Not only was their pictures there, but JP and Rashad were there in person, so the twins got the honor of getting their picture made with them. I apologize for the dark photos, but for some reason my flash didn't go off and I didn't realize until we got home. I lightened them the best I could. ROLL TIDE FROM THE HAMM FAMILY!!!!!!

YAY FOR QUINN AND KADEN!!!!
For the past 4 months the boys have been sleeping in our room. Due to their reflux, I was afraid to lay them flat for a long period of time. Plus their reflux would wake them up all during the night and they couldn't get their much needed rest. So we first had them sleeping in their carseats in a pak-n-play at the foot of our bed. Then when they started flipping over in their carseats and we were having to buckle them in we moved them to their little swings. The chair part of the their swings actually removes and they can either be a rocking chair or a stationary chair. So we would make them the stationary chair and that would elevate them enough so they could get a good nights rest without their reflux bothering them. Now they are starting to flip over in their chairs so we are working on sleeping in their baby beds. Last night both of them slept through the WHOLE night in their beds. Kaden has been sleeping in his off and on, but Quinn has had a harder time getting adjusted. But YAY for last night!!!! Hopefully they will keep up the good sleep habits.

EASTER 2009
We spent this Easter in Marion and Greensboro all weekend. Our first stop was the MUMC egg hunt which was at 10:30 Saturday morning.
Brady had a blast hunting eggs at the Egg Hunt.
He found 33 eggs and some even had money in them.
Then it was off to Greensboro for the day.
Quinn and Kaden got Lamb ears from Aunt Jess.
This was the best pic we could get of them.
And we couldn't miss getting our picture with the Easter Bunny.
The boys in their Sunday Easter outfit. Quinn left and Kaden right.

A FIRST FOR QUINN.....
Last night Quinn ROLLED OVER!!!!!! YAY!!!! He went from his BACK TO HIS TUMMY. And after he did he was just smiling and laughing. He was so EXCITED and so was MOMMY!!! I was yelling and clapping for him. It's so crazy how something so small can be such a big achievement and make a mom so PROUD. Unfortunately, Daddy and Brady missed it. They were out grocery shopping. And of course after it happened, I had to call Retta, MeMommy, and Grandmommy to tell them the news.
The AFTER picture. He was so excited!!!

TRAIN UP A CHILD IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO AND WHEN HE IS OLD HE SHALL NOT PART FROM IT.......Prov. 22:6
On Sunday, March 29, 2009, Chris and I had the Boys' Christened out our Church in Marion. Chris and I met at this Church in Youth Group and were both Baptized in this Church. So throughout the many years the Marion United Methodist Church has been a big part of our lives. Dr. Teasley performed the Christening during the normal Church Service on this particular Sunday. Everything went so nice and the boys' couldn't have done a better job. They were so good throughout the entire Church Service and they looked so handsome in their Christening Gowns. Brady joined us as well at the pulpit as these two precious little boys were welcomed into the world of Christ. After the service all our family joined us for a special lunch in honor of Quinn and Kaden at Archibald Hall at Judson College.
