DIAPER AND BATH SHOWER OCT 5TH

Last Saturday I had my Diaper and Bath Time Shower that was given by my sister, a dear friend Jean Hicks, my brother-in-law's mother and sister-in-law. The party was so awesome and we had such a good turn out.
The boys got lots of goodies!!!

The Hostesses From Left to Right
Connie Stringfellow, Me, Kelley Stringfellow, Jean Hicks and Gail Stringfellow

Mommy and Daddy To - Be

Me and Rhetta (my mom)

Me and My Grandmother better know to me as Turkeybutt

The Hamm Fam: Chris, Me, and Grandmommy

The Highlight of the Party. If you notice on my finger there is a little Tee Pee on it. We got some PEE PEE, TEE PEE's so you can cover that little thing up while changing so no one gets wet. They were hilarious!!! Even Victoria had some questions about what to do with them.

Victoria was such an awesome little helper and she is so excited about her little cousins.

This is our dear friend Allison Barton with her little girl, Allie. The Boys don't know it yet, but they've already got a girlfriend waiting on them. That is if her Daddy ever lets her date!

Daniel finally woke up from his nap to join the Party.

This BIG goody box was from Chris's mom. She is the best Grandmommy ever!

The Boys also got these monogrammed bags from their Great Aunt Jess. They match my diaper bag perfectly. And that wasn't it, the bags were filled with all kinds of goodies.
Even BIG BROTHER BRADY sent his little brothers a gift.

They got some washcloths and wipes from him.

My dear friend Christen and her mom gave the boys their Bumbo seats along with the trays.

I know the boys are going to love sitting in these.
My mom's friend Kay gave the boys monogrammed diaper covers to wear with their Christianing Gowns. That was such a special gift.

And then of course Rhetta just couldn't help herself. My mom has been dying to buy someone a wagon, so guess who got a wagon full of goodies. THE BOYS!!! They are sooo going to enjoy this wagon. It has two seats that pop up along with little seat belts so we can hopefully keep them strapped in and then it even comes with a cover so they aren't in the sun all the time.

The aren't even here yet, and they already have been blessed so much.

Thanks to all for your prayers, love and support.

I PASSED.....YAY!!!!

Well, I got the phone call from my doctor's nurse this morning, that I PASSED my sugar test. I am so glad I don't have to drink that stuff again. But my bloodwork did show that I am a little anemic which is normal at this stage of my pregnancy. So I just have to take an extra iron pill every day. That would explain why I've been so tired lately, but hopefully these pills will give me a boost of energy. That's all for now. I will have new posts next week. I have my Diaper and Bath Time shower this weekend at my sister's house.

25 WEEKS AND 3 DAYS PREGNANT

Today I had another checkup. I had an ultrasound and my sugar test. Hopefully I passed, but I won't know until probably tomorrow. So keep your fingers crossed! My Ultrasound went great. Baby A measured 25 weeks and 4 Days and Baby B measured 25 weeks and 2 days. They both weighed 1 pound and 13 ounces and are head down with their feet right in my rib cage on both sides. The Boys are doing GREAT!!!! The pics I got today are of their little bottoms, if you know what I mean and they are DEFINITELY BOYS! My mom and Grandmother are still hoping that a little girl will show up somewhere. I go back on October 22nd for another checkup and U/S.

BABY TEA ~ SEPTEMBER 21ST

We had our first Baby Shower this past Sunday September 21st. It was held in our Hometown of Marion at the West Perry Community Club. It was given by Chris's Great Aunt Cat, Aunt Sue, Sister Elizabeth, Cousin Celia, and Cousin Cicily. Everything was so very nice. The Cake was perfect! It matched our nursery theme and was reeeaaaallllyy good, too.
Since it was a Baby Tea and it was just a come and go thing, I got the privilege of getting there a little early and opening some of our gifts and getting them displayed.
We got lots of Goodies. Our Boys are so lucky to have so many people that love them.

Chris's Mother gave us our Double Stroller. I know the Boys are going to enjoy the many rides in this "bus" throughout the years.
And then Chris's Grandparents, Berta and Charles, gave us our carseats. I can't wait to put these two little guys in these seats so they can cruise around with their mommy and daddy, and of course big brother.

We also got our swings. They were given to us by Chris's Aunt Cat and her daughter Renee. These swings are so cool. The are 3 in 1 swings. You can use them as a swing, then you can take the chair part off and have a stationary seat, or you can make it into a toddler rocker. I really hope the boys enjoy, but their mommy absolutely loves them.

Then of course we got lots of goodies. Chris's Granny gave us the tooth fairy pillows and the day gowns with the giraffes. I tell you what, these boys are going to be the best dressed guys you've ever seen.

My mom, Grandmother, and Aunt gave us our Bedding. And yes, I've already got it on the bed. I'll have to take a pic later on so you can see how cute their room is now. Their room is a little messy just now for pictures.

My sister's family gave each boy their own selection of monogrammed burp clothes, along with a couple of outfits.

You can see Quinn's goodies in this pic.

And here are Kaden's goodies. Oh and their Big Cousin Victoria wrote their card all by herself!

Then the best gift ever. Quinn and Kaden's big brother sent them a gift. In this pic, you will see two bibs in the back that say "I Love My Big Brother" and some travel toys. That was the best present of the day! These boys are so lucky to have such an awesome Big Brother who already loves them so much.

Then it was family pic time. Here I'm with the two luckiest Grandmother's of all. My mom is on the left (Loretta), then of course the mommy to be, and Chris's mom (Cynthia) on the right.

Then, in this pics we added my Big Sis, Kelley. Quinn is named after her. My sister's full name is Virginia O'Kelley.

Thank you to everyone who made this shower so awesome! We Love you all!

24 WEEK CHECK UP

Today I had another doctor's appointment. I will be 24 weeks this coming Sunday. I met with Dr. Brown, another doctor in with my Doctor. Everything checked okay today, YAY!!! Dr. Brown did the doppler and listened to both heartbeats and both boys sounded just fine. She measured my belly and it measured.........................................30 WEEKS!!! WOW!!! I couldn't believe that, but she said that was great. And the best news of all, I've only gained 17 pounds so far. I go back in two weeks, which will be October 1st, for an U/S and my sugar test. So let's all keep our fingers crossed that I pass my sugar test.

I should have more fun posts next week. I have my first Baby Shower this weekend and I can't wait!!!! Chris is going on his last Deep Sea Fishing Trip for the year this weekend, so hopefully he has a good trip and catches lots of fish.

AND THE KICKING BEGINS.....

Yesterday Chris and I had our Multiples Birthing Class at the Brookwood Hospital Wellness Center. Our day began at 9am and didn't end until 4pm. It was a lonnnngggggg day, especially for a pregnant woman. We learned a lot of helpful tips when it comes to caring for twins and then caring for them after we come home from the hospital. The class touched on Nutrition, Breastfeeding, Sleeping Routines, What to expect when you come home from the hopistal, C-Section versuses Vaginal Delivery, Preterm Labor, and many more topics. But the most exciting thing that happened during our class was, we finally felt the babies or maybe just a baby kick. I've been feeling it for a while, but I hadn't been able to feel it with my hand on the outside. Well right in the middle of one of our lectures and I realized that what I was feeling wasn't just gas, so I grabbed Chris's hand and laid it on my belly so he could feel it too. This little one kicked about 15 times. I guess he was tired of sitting too!! HA! That was such a special moment to share even if it was during our class, but I will never forget that moment. Maybe soon I will be able to tell which baby is which.

PAINTING THE NURSERY!

So....we got the nursery painted....FINALLY!!! It only took three days!

Daddy to be worked so hard on getting the paint job just right!

This is a view from the door...I hung the curtain so hopefully you could see what other colors will be used. My mom is getting us the bedding, so hopefully within the next month I can get the beds all ready. The chair in the corner is going to have a white cushion in it, but it is being made right now and the changing pad cover will be blue.

This is Baby Bed number TWO!

Just another view...a shelf for their special things and then the lovely changing table and the wonderful baskets for organization....because we are sure going to need to be organized.
These pics are pretty plain, but it gives you a sneak peak of what their room is going to to look like. The green is a little brighter in person.
