SKILLED AT 7 WEEKS

It is amazing how your children can change so much in only a few weeks. Yesterday and today Chris and I were able to capture some pics of the boys showing off their skills. At 7 weeks of age our boys are already so talented and are changing so much.

This evening when I got home from a day out by myself (Chris kept the boys), I was getting ready to feed Kaden and he decided to do this cute little pose for Mama. He was laying there like a little angel so Chris captured that sweet moment for me.

Today while I was out Chris captured this pic of Quinn. Apparently Quinn is stronger than we thought. He held his bottle all by himself. I'm sure it was for only a few seconds, but still very exciting. Oh and I know this pic looks funny because the bottle looks like it is as big as his head, but it really isn't.

Yesterday I let the boys have a few minutes on their tummies. They did better than I thought they would, although Quinn kept trying to eat the floor. Needless to say it was time for his bottle.

I did get this shot though of Quinn trying to lift his head a little bit. He is really stronger than this, but he was more worried about missing his bottle. He's my little porker!

Kaden on the other hand was ready to go. He loves lifting his head up!

Then for the "whistle" shot. This is Kaden trying to whistle for me. Quinn does it too, but I haven't been able to capture it yet. Aren't they just so cute??? Oh how I love my boys!

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF QUINN AND KADEN

So, Daddy has been out of town all week, so it's just been me and the boys. They've been really good, so since it was just us I decided to change up my routine a little and get some pics of them. I'm so busy these days I forget to take pics. So yesterday we captured a few.

Quinn getting ready for his nap in his swing. The boys are really beginning to enjoy their swings.

Kaden in his swing. He really loves his swing!

This is Quinn during his bottle. He always is such a messy eater and the cereal doesn't make it any better! He really loves the cereal in his bottle. It fills them up quick.

This is Kaden patiently waiting for his bottle while I burp Quinn. He cannot stand it when you take his bottle away from him.

And then here are the boys together while I was trying to get their bottles ready. Quinn was enjoying stretching, but Kaden was rather upset with me.

WEIGHT UPDATE

Today, the Home Health nurse came to give the boys their second RSV shot and before she could give them to them she had to weigh them. AND.......................Quinn weighed 6 pounds and 3 ounces and Kaden weighed 6 pounds even. The boys are getting so big!!! They have now graduated to Newborn Clothes. So we are moving on up!!! This Sunday will be my due date. It's still hard to believe that the boys are already here.
Also, today Chris and I took the boys to Fairytale Fotography to have their 6 week pictures taken. The boys did so good and even Daddy did good too. Daddy toughened up and took "the daddy" pics with his two boys. They are going to be so cute and I can't wait to see them. To all you close friends and family, I will be sure to send you the link when I get the proofs back.

THE BEGINNING OF THEIR 2ND MONTH

The boys are now in their 2nd month of life. I can't believe they are already a month old. All of you were SO right. Time does fly!!! This week has been the first week that I have been by myself with them and so far everything has gone well. Chris and I really are lucky parents because these two boys are really good babies. For the most part they just eat and sleep.

Due to the boys having reflux they are now sleeping in their carseats. So we put the pack-n-play at the end of our bed and have the carseats sitting in the pack-n-play so they aren't on the floor. They do well sleeping there and their spit up has gotten a little better for the most part. This pic is during their nap after their 10am feeding. Kaden (left) and Quinn (right)
This is Kaden during his 10am feeding today. As you can see he wanted to nap during his bottle. I had to change their clothes anyway, so I decided they could eat in just their diapers and bibs.

Here is Quinn in a daze after he got finished eating. I guess you can say he is full.

Trying to feed two at a time can be difficult at times. Please excuse the spit up coming out of Kaden's mouth. I'm sure you can imagine how hard it is to get that perfect pic.

Last night the boys took turns sitting in the boppy while I changed their diapers and freshened them up. Here is Quinn absolutely loving it! HA!

And here is Kaden chillin in the Boppy.

BRADY'S DEER

Brady has already killed two deer this year. And he killed them all by himself.

This was his second deer of the year. It was a spike and he killed it December 20th.

This was his first deer of the season. It was a Doe and he killed it Thanksgiving Morning.

AN UPDATE.....FINALLY!!!

I'm sure all of you have been wondering what's been taking so long for me to update my blog. Well with the Holidays and trying to get things together after bringing twins home, I haven't had much time to sit down and work on my blog. The boys are sleeping right now, so hopefully I can catch you all up on what has been going on in the Hamm Family. Below are pics that we took throughout the holidays. The boys had a great First Christmas and Brady got everything he wanted and more. I hope you all had a Very Merry Christmas and have a Wonderful 2009!

Trying to get a Christmas Pic of the boys is harder than you think.

The boys went for their two week checkup on the 16th and everything checked out great. Quinn weighed 4.10 and Kaden weighed 4.9. The Doc wanted the boys to be gaining at least a half an ounce each day, but since we left the NICU they have been gaining a whole ounce a day. So they are ahead of schedule which is wonderful news. They both should be over 5 pounds by now.
We don't go back to the doc until their two month checkup which will be in February.
Quinn and Kaden got lots of goodies from Santa. Isn't it funny how their stockings are bigger than they are. The chairs are from Retta (my mom).

I got exactly what I wanted....a digital photo frame for my office.

Brady and Chris playing with Brady's Star Wars Helmet.

Chris got a mount of his Mahi Mahi that he caught this past summer.

Brady got a Deer Camera from Santa. Him and his Daddy have already put the Camera out so they can see what kind of deer are where they hunt.

Brady also got some coveralls so he will be nice and warm when he goes hunting. He also got Hulk Hands, a Star Wars Light Saber, Star Wars Movies, more Hunting stuff, Clothes, and some other goodies.

Our First Family Pic minus Brady. Brady didn't get to go with us to my Dad's for Christmas.

Aunt Kelley gave the boys these reindeer hats. This was the best pic I could get with the hats on. The boys didn't really like having the hats on.

AND THE BOYS COME HOME....

We are all finally home. The boys got to come home this past Thursday, December 11th. It was kind of sad leaving the NICU, but at the same time a very exciting moment for our family. Chris and I are both so happy that the boys are doing so well and will be able to be with us during the holidays. And just so you know, we did find out that the boys are Identical Twins.

It was very Cold outside, so the Boys had to be covered up.

And here we go leaving the NICU. Daddy carrying the Boys to the Car.
