HOW DO YOU MAKE TWINS....

JUST COPY AND PASTE!!!!
This was the best pic I could get of the boys in there shirts from Uncle Justin and Aunt Randi!! These days they just won't be still!! :-) Quinn left and Kaden right.

WE'VE GOT TEETH....

So I know I'm a little late in starting the whole brushing the teeth chore, but better late than never, huh? The other day I bought the boys there first toothbrushes and I finally pinned them down long enough to get those little gums and teeth brushed. They did wonderful!!! Since they are teething likey CRAZY they really enjoyed it. After we were done I let them play with their brushes and they LOVED them. They could have set there for quite a while playing with them, but I kept picturing them falling over and the brush going down their throat, so I took them away and of course they cried. AND YES, we are at that stage when Mommy takes something away from us we cry, but not for long. Then we find something else we can play with. These are such fun times and I'm loving every minute of watching my boys grow up.

NO MORE SWINGING....

The boys have officially out grown their swinging days. My mom called the other day to tell me that I was going to have to stop using the swings, at least the swing part. Since the boys are liking the fact that they can sit, they are starting to sit up too far (especially Kaden) and we don't want an accident to happen before it's too late. I can still use the chair part as little rocking chairs for the boys. So the other night I took a picture of the boys in their swings for the last time. The really have changed since the first time they ever swang.

Kaden at 7 months old in his swing for the last time.

Kaden during the 1st month of his life enjoying his swing.
Quinn in his swing for the last time (7 months old).
Quinn was just chillin and loved having his picture taken.

Quinn, not even a month old, loved swinging away to those sweet lullabies.

I teared up writing this blog. My baby boys are getting so big and I'm enjoying every minute of being their mommy and watching them grow up!

A POT BATH....

Father's Day weekend while we were at my mom's, the boys needed a bath. I didn't feel like packing my bath tub and the sink is just too slippery to bath them in, so I got a boiler and put them in it for a quick bath. It was quite entertaining. Their expressions were so funny!! They were like, "What is mom doing to us?" But after it was over with they were in such a good mood since they were so fresh and clean.

Kaden taking his POT bath...poor little guy! He was like please no pictures!

Quinn taking his bath! He kind of enjoyed it!

JUICE AND SIPPY CUPS

Now that the boys are 6 months, they can start getting juice during the day. In the past I've had to give them juice (just small amounts) to help them with potty issues, but now they can get more throughout the day. I didn't want to buy more bottles for juice, so I thought....what about sippy cups? Are they big enough? Can they hold them? Will they be able to get the juice out? I still think of them as my little babies. Even though they are still babies, they aren't that little any more (defnitely not little 4 pounders).

I was in publix the other night picking up a few things and while in the baby section I found some Baby Einstein sippy cups and they were for ages 6 months and up. I debated for a few minutes if I was ready to buy them sippy cups and before I was through argueing with myself, they were in the buggy. So the next day, I gave it a try and gave the boys some applejuice in their BRAND NEW SIPPY CUPS. They drank that juice and held those cups like they were pros. It's sad that they are growing up, but at the same time so fun to see them excel in something so small. If it was hard for me to buy them sippy cups, can you imagine what it's going to be like when I have to buy their first pair of walking shoes or first set of school supplies?????

Quinn has the blue cup and Kaden has the green cup!

AN EAR INFECTION AND A HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

So yesterday, mine and Chris's anniversary started out with Kaden running a fever and a very yucky nose. For two nights in a row he had been really restless so I knew something was brewing. I stayed home from work and took him to Dr. Sester at 11 and sure enough he had an ear infection. We were only 7 days short of being 7 months old and dang if we didn't get our 1st ear infection and 1st sick child. Well I got Kaden's medicine and got home and got him all fixed up. Chris got home around 3 and we headed to Hoover for his dentist appointment. Yup, a filling on our Anniversary. Even though it was a special day life's daily tasks must go on. After his appointment we went straight to dinner at Heads N Tails in Patton Creek. You can definitely tell we are parents now because we went to dinner at 5:30 and were home by 8:30. But the good thing was that we were there for HAPPY HOUR!!!! We don't get to enjoy that many happy hours these days. :-) After a few drinks and a delicious dinner and an awesome piece of Chocolate Peanut Butter pie, we exchanged gifts.

Chris and I are sorta dorks when it comes to our anniversary. We always give each other whatever the traditional gift is for that particular anniversary. For our one year anniversary (which was paper), I gave Chris a book about Spearfishing and he gave me a book about trying to conceive. So now you all know the thought of having a baby was with us for a while before Quinn and Kaden actually got here. On our second anniversary Chris was out of town working so he sent me an Edibles Bouquet and it was DELICIOUS! I absolutely LOVE fruit! The second wedding anniversary was suppose to be cotton, but since he was away I let him slide plus I had just been shopping for some maternity clothes. ;-) I stuck with the cotton gift and gave him a chef hat that said "Master Chef Chris" since he loves to cook and make his meals look so pretty. On this anniversary Chris made me a sweet card that was addressed "To My Love" and had the sweetest note in it (it made me cry). And then for my leather gift, he gave me a leather braided bracelet that had a heart charm with "Happy Anniversary" engraved on it. I LOVE IT and it goes with my heart necklace that he gave me two Valentine's ago. His gift from me was a watch that had leather within the band. It is really Cool and Handsome!

Our Gifts!

And now we begin year number 4.............;-)
